“Berry brings Moon’s artistry to life”

–  Robert Hurwitt, San Francisco Chronicle

Long known as the wildest man in rock ‘n’ roll, Keith Moon catapulted to super-stardom as the drummer for the iconic English rock band The Who. In this two-hour show, which includes 10 The Who songs played with a live band, actor-musician Mick Berry tells Moon’s life story, from his early days, successes and excesses to his tragic downfall. Experience this rockin’ spectacle at 3Below Theatres in San Jose.

Keith Moon, like so many rock stars, was a light that burned brightly and briefly, though not as briefly as some (e.g., Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison). But Berry, with the help of Moon’s daughter, son-in-law, Roger Daltrey, and Pete Townshend, depicts not only the great drummer for The Who, but the tortured, tragic person that Moon was.

“Entertaining and sympathetic”

– Mandy Moon

Nominated for best  “Solo Performance” for the 42nd Annual Excellence in Theatre Awards for 2017 by the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle, this one-man show is not to be missed. Playing for two weekends only at San Jose’s newest performing arts venue, “Keith Moon The Real Me” has been hailed by critics and fans alike for its storytelling and musicality.
