June 28, 2022: In order to give more people the opportunity to see this fantastically fun musical in the age of coronavirus, we’re moving the show outdoors, under the stars, up on the roof of the 2nd St and San Carlos Garage. We’ll build an outdoor theater complete with a stage, projection, lighting, and sound equipped to give you a terrific night out. NOTE: Since this production relies on projection and lighting that can only be viewed while in the dark, we will not be offering matinee showtimes.
XANADU is the hit musical that took audiences and critics by surprise when it transformed an obscure film into the hottest comedy on Broadway. With its score of pop gems, a script that redefines musical theatre satire, and a finale lit by glitter balls and glow sticks, XANADU is a hilarious, roller disco musical adventure.
“Xanadu Will Leave You Rolling With Laughter” ~ The Silicon Valley Voice
Xanadu is all at once a romantic comedy, a celebration of retro music, and an endless cavalcade of ‘80s kitsch and the most ridiculously wonderful time you’ll ever have in a theatre! Douglas Carter Beane’s book is based on the Universal Pictures cult classic movie, which starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly.
“XANADU is Campy, Classy, and Terrific Fun”~
